The National Development Company (NDC) received the Award for Best Sustainability Initiatives during the Governance Commission for Government-Owned or Controlled Corporations (GCG) Awards Ceremony held on December 1, 2025, in Parañaque City.
This recognition is given to GOCCs whose sustainability initiatives are innovative, impactful to stakeholders, and deeply integrated into their mandate, functions, and value chain.
In 2024, the NDC signed a Letter of Intent with Cyclion, an Australian climate tech startup known for its cutting-edge waste-to-energy technology. This partnership paved the way for Cyclion to look at establishing recycling programs in the Philippines, offering a transformative response to both garbage overflow and fuel shortages.
Representing NDC at the ceremony were Assistant General Manager Rhoel Z. Mabazza, Assistant General Manager Joyce Anne N. Alimon, Assistant General Manager Geneflor L. Santiago-Lumbang, and Department Manager Joyce Ann S. Azurin.
This award highlights NDC’s strong commitment to championing sustainable investments and reinforces its dedication to building a future where innovation, opportunity, and public service converge to uplift communities across the country.
