NDC signs MOU with The Women's Business Council Philippines (WBCP)

The Women's Business Council Philippines (WBCP) recently signed on as knowledge partner with NDC last August 2 at NDC’s IHub - a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore initiatives promoting gender equality and women's economic development in the Philippines.

The NDC, as an investment arm of the Philippine government, is particularly keen on harnessing the role of the Philippine Innovation Hub to assist female-run start-ups in further growing their businesses by co-investing in their operations.  Further, other avenues for cooperation and assistance to the WBCP would also be looked at - for example, a possibility of assisting female start-ups involved in selling artisan wear with a Philippine cultural heritage motif.

Mr. Anton Mauricio, General Manager of the National Development Company (NDC), succinctly stated as follows, "Today, we solidify our commitment to advancing women's empowerment and gender equality in the workplace. By joining forces with the Women's Business Council Philippines, we can extend our reach and create meaningful opportunities for women entrepreneurs and professionals to thrive."
