PhilID is to be accepted in all transactions at DTI and other attached agencies

The Department of Trade and Industry released a Memorandum on January 11, 2024, requiring DTI and all its attached agencies to accept PhilID and ePhilID as one of the primary valid documents of the public when availing of services.

Furthermore, DTI Memorandum No. 21-43 reiterated - the unjust refusal of recognition of PhilID from DTI officials and employees, by law, imposes a Php 5,000 penalty and a possibility of being imposed with “perpetual absolute disqualification from government office or employment.”
